The Harrell & Harrell team was excited to have the opportunity to be a Blue Ribbon sponsor of this year’s 35th Annual Clay County Agricultural Fair. After the cancellation of the fair in 2020, we were grateful to be a part of this community, family-friendly event this year operated in a safe and thoughtful way. The fair was held April 1 through 11, with nearly 150,000 people attending over the course of the event.
Harrell & Harrell sponsored the agricultural and livestock arena, where fun “Fair Facts” were displayed on banners throughout the area, such as “Did you know that pigs can run a seven-minute mile and make a great marathon partner!”
Harrell & Harrell also sponsored the Wall of Champions, which featured photos of the 4H & FFA Youth participants and their winning Livestock. And many young children and their families enjoyed watching the puppet show from the Ag-Tainment stage that was also in the Livestock arena and sponsored by Harrell & Harrell.
The fair began in the early 1970s and remains a staple of the community that Harrell & Harrell President Renee Harrell calls home.
“I grew up in Clay County and have a lot of good memories of the fair and going back and supporting the fair is important to me,” said Harrell. “At Harrell & Harrell, it is important to us to stay local to where we are from, and to give back and stay loyal to our community.”
We have been honored to have the opportunity to support our community and look forward to partnering again with the Clay County Agricultural Fair in 2022. Mark your calendars for opening day on March 31, 2022!
